How to Create an Affiliate Link

In this article we’re going to quickly look at how you go about creating your own affiliate links. In just a couple of minutes you’ll be ready to start promoting Bike Track Days Hub products.

Let’s jump straight in!

Step 1: Log into the Bike Track Days Hub Affiliate Centre

Log into the affiliate centre by going here – /ecmaff

Simply enter the Login Name (your ClickBank ‘Nickname’) and Password that you specified when you signed up to the BTDH affiliate program.

Step 3: Create Affiliate Link

Once on this page, follow these steps tp create your affiliate link:

  1. Select the product you wish to promote from the drop down box. In this case we’re going to leave it as the Essential Riding Skills eBook
  2. (Optional) Enter a Tracking ID for the affiliate link (ClickBank track regular affiliate links by default, but if you wish to add another layer of tracking for personal use, you can add it here. Go here to learn more about Tracking IDs). If you’re new to this, just leave it blank.
  3. Click the ‘Get Link’ button.

Step 4: Copy the Affiliate URL

Now that your affiliate link has been created, all you need to do is copy and paste it wherever you wish to promote the product.

For example, this could be on a forum, a website banner, in an article or review, on social media etc etc.

Every time someone clicks the link they will be taken to the sales page of the product you selected in the Affiliate URL creator, and a cookie will be dropped onto their device that tells ClickBank that it was you who sent them there.

If they end up purchasing the product, you get the commission.

Also notice that in the Affiliate Link it shows your ClickBank account ‘Nickname’. This is why it’s very important to make sure the Nickname you specified when signing up to the BTDH program matches your ClickBank Nickname, because if it doesn’t you will not be credited with the sale.

Optional Step: If you do not wish to use the full affiliate link as it’s shown (they are a bit big and ugly) then you can cloak the link to make it smaller and more discreet. Check out the article on affiliate link cloaking for more information.

I hope that has been helpful and easy to understand.
